Dark Soul's Nightmare News

Bleed All About It

Remakes and more remakes and A Nightmare on Elm Street is the newest horror
classic to get redone.  Sadly and for the first time ever some one other than Robert
Englund will play the gloved one Freddy Krueger.  Robert has played the killer in
all films and the short lived TV series Freddy's Nightmares shown now and then on
the Chiller network.  Like Jason, Michael Myers and Leather Face, Freddy is the
next in line of horror icons of the 70s and 80s to get the remake treatment.  Look
for Pinhead to be the next monster to get remade soon.  The killer fish movie
Piranha also is joining to remake party with this new one being like everything as of
late shown in 3D.  The 80's movie Poltergeist is also being remade as along with
Night of the Demons and a The Thing remake that is said to be a prequel to the
1980's monster fest.

Fans of the Underworld series will be happy to know that there is a 4th installment
coming next year.  One word yet as to what time line this new film will take.  Will it
pick up after part two or go pack in time and pick up after the events of the 3rd film
when the war of the two creatures the vampires and lycans began.  Resident Evil:
After-life is coming this fall and a new outing for the bad ass space hunters the
Predators coming this Summer.  The teen vampire stories of Twilight move on with
Eclipse is hitting theaters this June.  I must say I saw the trailer today and it looks
pretty good.  Lots of vamp and werewolf action.  The Lord of the Dead himself
George Romero returns to his fans with a new zombie chiller in Survival of The
Dead.  Return to the caves below with a new The Descent 2 on the way and if you
are still nit sick on seeing people murdered by fun crazy devices then the next up
coming Saw will delight your cravings for blood and gore.

Damn good news for the fans of the horror series Supernatural!  The show’s
network The CW has said that there would be a 6th season.  The shows creator
only planed for five but fan response was so high that the network forced the
shows creators hand and wanted the show to go on.  The 6th year may as well be
the end of the series but at least we fans of the show get one more year of the
monsters hunters Sam and Dean. Thanks CW!
